Since the beginning of our journey, through our Insight articles and the experimental work developed by Fakewhale Studio, we have shaped Fakewhale as an art project: an open platform where interaction with the audience has become, now more than ever, a structural component of the artwork.
In a context where the artwork is no longer a finished object but a relational device, interaction takes on increasing weight: it becomes an aesthetic gesture, a critical form, a collective memory.
When Nicolas Bourriaud published Relational Aesthetics in 1998, he claimed that the artwork no longer produced mere forms, but situations. Today, more than twenty-five years later, those situations have migrated into feeds, comments, and digital interactions.
Interaction is no longer an add-on, it is the beating heart of the contemporary aesthetic process. Every gesture, a like, a comment, a share, leaves a trace and contributes to the construction of a collective meaning that accumulates over time.

For this reason, Fakewhale is proud to inaugurate a new chapter in its journey with this project: a series of digital works where the relationship with the audience becomes living material, the very subject of the work itself. Every interaction contributes to the evolution of the piece.
We warmly invite you to engage with our Instagram posts: your comments will be integrated into the project, becoming part of a new, ever-evolving ecosystem of digital artworks. The goal is to activate a shared process of meaning-making, transforming the artwork into a relational archive and a living critical space.
We believe that today, art is no longer merely an object of contemplation, it must be traversed, written, commented on, and discussed together. Our aim is to help reignite the vital spark of critical thinking, which has sadly faded in much of the contemporary art world.
