Fakewhale Newsletter Issue #10

Explore "uncertain index" by p1xelfool: the first native generative art release on Objkt curated by Fakewhale

Hello,

Welcome to issue #10 of the Fakewhale Newsletter!

Today "uncertain index" by p1xelfool has officially debuted—marking the first native generative art release on Objkt.com, in collaboration with Fakewhale Gallery. Explore this groundbreaking release before the 48-hour open edition window closes.

“uncertain index” by p1xelfool is an exploration of image data and pixel manipulation through code. A path to bend the core data of image creation and see what would emerge. Instead of a formal approach, the real-time software reveals the chaotic nature of the process, where there’s little control over what should emerge.

It represents a significant first for objkt.com, as it marks the very first native generative art release through the debut of their generative art engine, a tool designed to expand creative possibilities for artists on the platform. Initially available exclusively through the Fakewhale Gallery, this feature will expand availability to all platform users in the coming months.

The release dynamics of "uncertain index" include a 48-hour open edition, priced at 22 XTZ (The minting period began today at 4 PM CEST and will conclude at 4 PM CEST on July 12th, 2024)

Fakewhale has long admired the artistic explorations of Markus and Reto, whose work deeply engages with themes of hope, fear, beliefs, and the failings of humanity. Recently, we featured one of their pieces in a collective press showcase in Basel as part of the WUF 2024 program.

The following interview seeks to delve into their creative processes and motivations, offering our audience an internal perspective on their diverse artistic expressions, which range from photography to installation.
